How can I make payments?

We offer several free payment options:

Auto Pay: Set up free automatic payments from your bank account using our ACH form: Texas Tech Credit Union ACH Auto Pay Form. We can also set up your auto payment on your behalf with a signed form. Please contact your lending team for additional assistance.

Online Banking: Register or log in to manage payments and add external accounts: Online Banking Registration

What kind of vehicle insurance do I need?

All vehicles financed through Texas Tech Credit Union must have full coverage with a maximum deductible of $1,000. Coverage must remain active throughout the loan term. Please email a copy of your declaration page (listing Texas Tech Credit Union as lienholder) to autoinsurance@texastechfcu.org.

Do you offer loan coupons?

No, Texas Tech Credit Union does not provide loan coupons. We are a paperless organization and offer convenient online and electronic payment options.

Can I apply for additional loans?

Do you allow early payoff or charge early payoff fees?

Texas Tech Credit Union does not charge early payoff fees. You may pay off your loan at any time without additional service charges, except for any interest or late fees due at the time of payoff.

What is my loan interest rate?

Your rate is listed on your Truth-in-Lending disclosure signed at purchase. You can also view it in our online banking platform or the Texas Tech Credit Union app by selecting your loan account and clicking “Show Details” in the top-right corner of the balance screen.

When will I receive my plates and registration?

Plates and registration are typically provided within 30–90 days after purchase, either by the dealership or Texas Tech Credit Union (depending on who handles your title work). Contact your lender for confirmation. You can also contact our title department at titledepartment@texastechfcu.org.

When will my dealer cancellation be processed?

Cancellations usually take 12–16 weeks. To check the status, email cancellations@texastechfcu.org. This timeframe does not refer to ASG cancellations.

Do I need to make a payment to my previous lender after refinancing with Texas Tech Credit Union?

No. Texas Tech Credit Union sends the payoff via overnightdelivery once your loan is finalized. If your previous balance is not clearedwithin 3–5 business days, contact your lending team at 806-742-3606.

Can I access the app or online banking after my loan is finalized?

Yes! You’ll need your member number and personal details to register. If you don’t know your member number, call 806-742-3606. Register here: Online Banking Registration

Do you offer a grace period for late payments?

Yes. Texas Tech Credit Union provides a 9-day grace period on all payments. Payments made within this period will not incur late fees. This excludes lines of credit, credit cards, and mortgages with Texas Tech Credit Union.

How do I access my Gap, Warranty, and Multishield Coverage?

Use the Member Portal to view your coverage contracts 24/7. Log in with your vehicle and personal information: Member - ASG. If you have questions regarding coverage cancellations, please contact your lending team at 806-742-3606.

Is my interest added to my balance once I finalize the loan?
expand_circle_down

No. Interest accrues over time based on your balance and interest rate. This means that if you make larger payments, pay early, or payoff your loan before the final due date, you’ll reduce the total interest charge on your loan resulting in additional savings.

Does Texas Tech Credit Union offer vehicle insurance?

No, Texas Tech Credit Union is not an insurance provider and cannot offer coverage for your vehicle. However, we partner with TruStage, which offers discounted insurance services for credit union members. Does Texas Tech Credit Union offer commercial financing?

Unfortunately, Texas Tech Credit Union does not currently offer commercial financing. However, we do offer consumer personal loans that can be used for any purpose you choose.

Does Texas Tech Credit Union accept credit card payments for loans?

Unfortunately, Texas Tech Credit Union does not accept credit or debit card payments for regular loan payments. Please refer to the options listed above for additional free payment methods.
