Position Summary
The Community Relations Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting the Lending Business Development Manager in identifying, coordinating and pursuing new business opportunities. This role involves planning and attending business development activities, managing partner relationships and sponsorships, assisting with budget management, and promoting the Texas Tech Credit Union name and brand within the community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate community and business events, including sponsorships
- Build strategy to engage in new and strengthen current community and industry relationships (ex: realtors and consumer partners)
- Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and industry trends.
- Analyze competitors and market conditions to support strategic planning.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Handle various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of business development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities and track progress against goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the status of referrals and budget
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services is highly desirable.
- 1-3 years of experience in a business development, sales, or marketing role.
- Experience in market research, lead generation, and proposal development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with members and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and other relevant software applications preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
