Human Resources Intern

Position Summary: The Human Resources Intern provides administrative support to the HR department while gaining valuable exposure to the various aspects of the HR function and duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and interview process, track status of candidates in HRIS.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training coordination for new hires.
• Assist with basic benefit administration and questions.
• Assist with or prepare correspondence as requested.
• Scan and prepare documents into appropriate electronic files.
• Ensure an environment of excellence in the human resources department by answering employee requests and questions.
• Develop knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations as it relates to the Human Resource function.
• Assist with data analysis and data integrity across various systems.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and update HRIS as needed.
• Adhere to company safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform related duties as required.

• A working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and payroll systems, and related software
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and ability to execute.
