Position Summary
The Core Administrator has an in-depth knowledge of Credit Union Core platforms and financial applications. The role will be responsible for maintaining, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting financial business platform-related applications and providing end-user application support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a Fin-Tech Operational Admin for all core-related financial platforms and applications, acting as the subject matter expert for core (Fiserv XP) and related Fiserv applications (Nautilus, ISE Enterprise Scheduler, and Lynxgate).
- Act as a liaison between Texas Tech Credit Union departments and third-party vendors such as Fiserv to address platform issues and changes.
- Keep the core and financial systems updated with necessary patches and manage system backups (Nautilus, ISE Enterprise Scheduler, Wisdom, and Lynxgate).
- Conduct annual contract review and analysis for all financial platform and application service providers, ensuring that agreements align with credit union's objectives, deliverables, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer Nautilus system maintenance, Document Sweep, document workflow, and records management.
- Monitor and manage nightly ISE Enterprise Scheduler automated jobs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operational tasks.
- Develop and maintain documentation for core jobs and processes, ensuring clear communication and efficient operations.
- Manage core system user accounts and properly segregate duties related to user access.
- Coordinate and perform after-hours/weekend patches and upgrades for Fiserv systems, ensuring minimal disruption to credit union operations.
- Oversee activities, including daily copy log/backup tapes, core end-of-day, and core end-of-month, core end-of-year operational tasks.
- Test and assist with implementing new credit union products and services.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures for the financial systems and ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
- Conduct annual Fiserv XP Disaster Recovery testing and manage audit reports and logs.
- Attend scheduled internal or offsite meetings, including but not limited to Core XP User Group meetings, which may require after-hour attendance and occasional travel.
- Support the credit union's initiatives for IT audits, preparing and gathering relevant documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a core system administration or similar role in a financial institution.
- Hands-on experience with financial applications, end-user support, and issue resolution.
- Experience in liaising with third-party vendors and technology service providers
- Knowledge of financial industry standards and compliance regulations
- Demonstrated success in managing IT projects related to financial systems, including planning, documentation, and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT issues to non-technical users.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with different teams.
- Availability for after-hours support, including managing updates and patches, and willingness to travel as required.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
